Overview

A workshop for people who want a little push to turn their performance/act ideas into reality.

Ever feel overwhelmed by your ideas?

Got material but don’t know what to do with it?

Want to learn some new and interesting ways to smash it all together into the form of a show!?

Join Mook and Lizzy of Cal de Cabaret as they lead you through some techniques in material collation, theme finding, through line building and making your work feel complete.

Come with an existing idea, or with a blank slate!

What to expect:

  • Reflection
  • Sharing with the group
  • Feedback


You do not need exeprience in performing or making to join this workshop, but you should be prepared to get stuck into excersises and to share material you discover in a held situation with the group.


About us:


Lizzy is a Lecoq trained clown, performer, maker and facilitator. She uses a blend of Lecoq, clown through mask and play techniques to create safe spaces to explore creativity. Her approach to facilitator is trauma informed and focuses on process. Mook is a contemporary performance maker from the deepest darkest depths of Yorkshire. Her work has included residencies and performances with The Royal Exchange Manchester, Vaults London, Lancaster Arts, Stage at Leeds, The Hopbarn, and various basements and fields.A Mook studied Theatre and Performance Practice at Lancaster Uni (BAhons) and Uni of Lincoln (MA) Paper People Theatre

We have 1 bursary place available. If you would like to join us at the workshop, but cannot- for whatever reason afford a ticket then get in touch and let us know you'd like to come. First come first served.
