Creative accounting is a reflection of human nature. The UK and most professional bodies require a fair and true view of accounts; but creative interpretation of these flexible accounting rules can be used to produce accounts which on the surface are neither fair nor true, which occurs more commonly than you might think. This talk will cover some interesting examples of accounting scandals such as Enron and WorldCom.
Speaker: Professor Michael Jones, Department of Accounting and Finance,University of Bristol
