Description

The Universities’ Association for Lifelong Learning (UALL) Student Experience Network invites you to:

Creative Approaches to Lifelong Learning: Engaging and supporting mature, part-time and widening participation learners in higher education

A one-day event taking a holistic approach to the experiences of part time, mature and widening participation learners throughout their higher education journey, from first contact through to post-graduation.

What to expect: This will be a participative, collaborative event to share creative ideas and good practice: ‘what works’ (or not!). We will have focused discussions around three key stages of the student journey: Engagement & Recruitment; Support & Retention; Achievement & Progression. Come prepared to bring and share your own experiences and practice.

£50.00 (£65.00 if your institution is not a member of UALL. If unsure please contact Alice Reynolds, UALL Administrator - admin@uall.ac.uk).

Includes lunch and refreshements. Payment can be made online or an invoice can be requested during the booking process.

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel within 7 days of the date of the conference, you will be charged the full cost of your place; if you cancel within 7-14 days of the date of the conference, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your place; if you cancel within 14-28 days of the date of the conference you will be charged 25% of the cost of your place; if you cancel at least 28 days before the date of the conference, you will not be charged and will receive a full refund if you have already paid.

Should you be unable to attend the conference you may, of course, substitute a colleague: please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to do this. Please note that you can substitute delegates at any time up to 3 days before the conference.

We reserve the right to cancel this conference due to unforeseen circumstances or low numbers, in which the conference fees are fully refundable.

The UALL Student Experience Network organises workshops and conferences for everyone involved in supporting part-time and mature students in Higher Education. The Network has an e-mail discussion list for members and details of any Network events are published first on this list to give members priority booking. The discussion list also provides a forum for professional support and exchange between Network members.
