Creative Arts Week - Creative Writing, Art, Poetry & Photography ACT067)
Monday 24th October (4.30pm) - Friday 28th October (9.30am)
All the workshops will be inspired loosely by our common theme of “Open and Shut” and we’ll come together daily to share in the richness of work created in the different art-forms.
Join Chris Leonard in creative writing – find encouragement and inspiration from her and one another and grow in confidence. Forget expertise – if you can write a sentence or shopping list, you can do this! Graham Hudson will be leading the painting and drawing sessions during our time together, and as a group we will work with the theme "Open and Shut." We will encourage and inspire each-other across disciplines to express both an individual and collective response to the theme.
Join Tom Serratti to experience creativity through a camera with two basic 19th century photography processes: salt prints (used from 1839-1860s, created by H.F. Talbot), and cyanotypes (also called "blueprints", invented in 1842). Jez Green & Rory Clark will be hosting the poetry workshop ‘decoding the heArt’, come and enjoy poetic expression aided by a range of visual stimulus.
Take your pick from any or all of the four different creative strands, whether beginner or more experienced.
