Creative Breaks provides 12 month grants to third sector organisations to develop and deliver short breaks projects and services for unpaid carers of adults (aged 21+), unpaid carers of older people (aged 65+), young carers (caring for children or adults), and those that they care for. Creative Breaks is one of the Short Breaks Fund programmes, operated by Shared Care Scotland on behalf of the National Carers Organisations and the Scottish Government.

Shared Care Scotland Events

Shared Care Scotland is a charity that works to see a Scotland where everyone who receives or provides unpaid care can live happy and fulfilled lives with the support they need to take regular, quality breaks from the demands of their caring situations.

Many of our learning exchanges are funded by the Short Breaks Fund in order to  provide opportunities for the organisations that have received a grant to share learning and good practice, and to inspire new ways of delivering and measuring successful projects.
