About the event

Writers, agents, publishers and institutional brands are all grappling with the same dilemma: how to produce high-quality books and state of the art digital content whilst at the same time judiciously managing their internal costs. Project management includes multiple internal and external connections and skillsets.

Take a glimpse into the crystal ball of publishing with three experts and understand how the ever-evolving role of creative collaboration will affect all of us in the future.

whitefox are 5 years old this Spring and will be celebrating with drinks for everyone after the talks.

Your speakers:

Chris Michaels is Digital Director of the National Gallery. His role is to ask how digital changes what culture means, and how an old institution can change to meet the challenges of a connected world. Prior to joining the Gallery, he was Head of Digital & Publishing at the British Museum where he created a new blended model for publishing.

Ruth Jones is Director of Business Development at Ingram Content Group. Ruth has played a key role in the establishment of CoreSource as the market-leading digital asset distribution system for publishers, as well as building publisher relationships for other digital platforms such as MyiLibrary (now part of ProQuest) and VitalSource.

Toby Mundy is the founder of the TMA Agency, which represents authors and speakers and helps brands to publish; executive director of the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-fiction; and the chair of Wimbledon Book Festival. From 2000 to 2014 he was CEO and publisher of the award-winning independent publisher Atlantic Books.

Your host for the evening is John Bond, co-founder of whitefox.

This event will take place at our new home - The Library - an exclusive members club in a five storey town house in the heart of Covent Garden, only a short walk from both Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. The walls are adorned with bookcases and books - a perfect spot for publishing professionals to meet!
