Creative Computing Club - Moonbuggies (Ages 9-12)
Event Information
About this event
As NASA’s robotic spacecraft explorers await ‘Artemis’ astronauts to join them on the moon, we’ll be programming Python and a BBC micro:bit to communicate with model moon-buggies across space! At this month's Creative Computing Club, there’ll be plenty of lunar challenges to face, including guiding the buggies to pick up ‘moon rock’ samples using a servo-controlled grabbing claw. There’s also the time delay between Earth and the moon to grapple with – 1.255 seconds can be a long time when you’re trying to navigate an already rocky mission!
Suitable for ages 9-12. All children must be accompanied by an adult (adult entrance free)
Your ticket includes your timed Creative Computing Cub session + access to our woodland and outdoor Water Lab exhibit until 5.30pm.
Café Closed
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Café will be closed, apologies for any inconvenience. Families are welcome to bring picnics and snacks to eat at our lunch tables.
