The Wiltshire & Swindon Cultural Education Partnership (W&SCEP) invites colleagues from secondary schools and youth settings to join this free CPD & networking event exploring cultural education and creative progression.

This event links to the national Discover Creative Careers programme, being launched in National Careers Week 2021 (1-5th March).

With a focus on the need to engage students and young people in positive activities that support their learning and future opportunities, this event will provide insights, ideas and connections to take back to your secondary/youth setting.

As well as hearing from local cultural partners, our guest speaker will be Anthony Skates from Creative & Cultural Skills (CCSkills), who will be sharing some projects to inspire and get involved with. Anthony will also highlight an exciting suite of free resources linked to the Discover Creative Careers initiative for use by settings to support their careers teaching. About our guest speaker:

'Anthony Skates is the Senior Partnership Manager for CCSkills in the South West and West Midlands. He is a qualified Careers Adviser and has worked at Skillset, South West Screen and in several HEIs across the South West and South Wales. In his role with CCSKills, he has a broad ranging remit to work with the creative and cultural sector, and education settings, to help create alignment and progression routes.'
