Event Information
Event description
Description
Creative Data Club brings together all types (and ability levels) of data fans and creators to share, discuss and explore interesting ideas about how data can be used in creative ways or produce creative work.
The premise is simple, four speakers from a range of backgrounds share how they use data, you get to start some conversations with other data fans and the drinks are on us.
Speakers:
- Leanne Buchan is from Leeds Data Mill and be sharing more information about the project
- Sam Aaron is a communicative programmer working on a host of projects including working with Raspberry Pi to make something useful schoolchildren can engage with
- Daniel Jones is a sound artist working on the intersection between art and science from the sonification of wireless signals to forests ecosystems.
- Kasia Molga is a media artist dealing with real time environment (and not only) data visualisation – where the data becomes a pretext, motor and platform behind the work.
