Creative Data Club #09
Event Information
Event description
Description
Creative Data Club brings together all types (and ability levels) of data fans and creators to share, discuss and explore interesting ideas about how data can be used in creative ways or produce creative work.
The premise is simple, four speakers from a range of backgrounds share how they use data, you get to start some conversations with other data fans and the drinks are on us.
Lined up for a series of short talks are:
- Stefanie Posavec is a designer that works with data projects that involve language, literature, or science including exhibitions at MoMA, an app for Stephen Fry, and designing Jack Kerouac book covers.
- Nick Rothwell is a composer, performer, software architect, programmer and sound artist who uses data to create work.
- Gretchen Andrew is an artist whose hybrid practice combines cutting edge technologies with traditional oil painting.
- Hem and Christian from Signal Noise will be sharing their experience working at an information design agency
