This session will explore the role of creative industries on high streets, supporting culture, enterprise and regeneration. We will visit New Cross and Deptford High Street, at the heart of Lewisham’s Creative Enterprise Zone, to discuss the role of creativity on the high street - from affordable workspace provision to economic impact and cultural activation.

- Visit key cultural operators and creative businesses on the high street and hear from local practitioners about their work and impact
- Learn how Creative Enterprise Zones and other policies can support cultural and creative sectors
- Discover practical steps for supporting the creative industries on high streets from the GLA Culture Team, Lewisham Council and local creatives
Who should attend?
This event is open to all, with priority for local authority officers, BIDs and creative industry stakeholders. It will be in-person only and limited to 30 attendees. Notes will be circulated via our Teams platform following the event.

There are cycle hoops on further south on Creekside.
Access
The closest station with step-free access is Deptford Bridge (DLR). Blue Badge holders are able to park on Creekside.
