Event description
Join us as we explore the future of storytelling.

About this Event

As audiences, we are consuming more content than ever. Online giants have changed the way we consume video, whilst museums, galleries and theatre have embraced games and technology to create awe-inspiring experiences.

Over the past two years, the Creative Enterprise programme has been bringing together companies who work in moving image for storytelling, spanning film and television, games and technology, to build meaningful connections and create opportunities for business growth. Join us as we showcase the businesses who have benefitted from the programme and explore how the industry is moving forward.

This is a must-attend event to hear industry leaders discuss the future of the screen industries, ways to access investment, celebrate female leaders delivering innovative work, and hear from businesses developing cutting-edge ideas across the sector.

Creative Enterprise has been developed with National Lottery funding from the BFI, to make the moving image sector sustainable through creating new business opportunities through training and building of networks, whilst growing and scaling existing businesses.

Day structure:

1:30pm start

5:30pm finish with the option to stay for drinks and networking until 7pm

Speakers on the day:

Hosting the event is BBC's Rachel Burden

Rachel has worked for BBC Radio for over 20 years, starting in local radio and joining BBC5live as a presenter in 2003. She presented almost every show on the network, before joining Nicky Campbell on the Breakfast show in 2011. Rachel has covered major breaking stories at home and around the world, including the US Presidential election, the withdrawal of British troops from Afghanistan, and more recently the UK general election including hosting an hour-long phone-in with the Prime Minister. She also spent 6 weeks in Russia for the 2018 football World Cup. Time away from work is mostly spent with her husband and four children in Cheshire walking to the local pub, watching rugby and catching up on sleep.
