Event description

Description

Aimed at creative educators of all subjects, in nursery, primary and secondary school settings, with an interest in creativity across the curriculum, interdisciplinary learning or health & wellbeing.

Over the years, there has been a lot of talking at our Creative Exchanges; now we think it's time to get practical.

This hands-on CPD invites you to use a contemporary art toolkit to create your own ‘Art of the Future World’.

Young people from across Scotland have been responding to the question what is the ‘art of the future?’ in a national conversation about their futures, to coincide with the Year of Young People. Find out how young people have used the toolkit to identify and articulate their views on contemporary issues of their choice, such as feminism, religion and mental health.

By the end of the session you will have

  • worked in groups to create your own Art of the Future World using a contemporary art toolkit created by young people

  • considered how you might apply this approach to your own school setting

Delivered in partnership with Arts & Creative Learning, City of Edinburgh Council

This session will be repeated on Saturday 24th March 2018 at 10.30-12.30
