About this event
This course takes participants through a series of practical, creative exercises with discussion and reflection looking at: what is socially engaged art, the role of a facilitator in a socially engaged context, planning workshops, leading a workshop activity, considerations to ensure sessions are inclusive, reflective practice and evaluation and monitoring.
The workshops offer a sound introduction or refresher on the skills needed to become a socially engaged creative facilitator. It is suitable for creatives and artists who are interested in running workshops or creative groups.
It is part of the co|Create series of socially engaged artists' continued professional development. During these sessions B&NES artists will be joined by artists from Somerset who will be joining us via Somerset Art Works [SAW].
