About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Are you a parent or carer navigating the use of digital technologies with your children? Have you struggled with how to support your child using them safely and enjoyably? Would you like to participate in a creative workshop to explore how digital technologies might feature in our ideal futures?

We are running two creative futuring workshops to explore themes like this. You will participate in a facilitated visualisation of your utopia and then use this to explore the themes you come up with alongside others. Each workshop will last 90 minutes. You can attend one or both of them.

Workshops are in person on:

Tuesday 30 September, 10.00-11.30. Sign up at this link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/creative-futuring-workshop-tickets-1708688225479?aff=oddtdtcreator

Friday 3 October, 12.00-13.30 (this is the one you are signing up for here). PRIORY RD COMPLEX F BLOCK, ROOM 2F4.

The workshops are part of a larger project on smartphones and futures. They are led by Rebecca Coleman (researcher at the University of Bristol), Viv Kuh (researcher at the University of Bristol) and Bec Gee (creative facilitator and Lecturer in Creative Therapeutic Practice, City of Bristol College). They have ethical approval from the University of Bristol.
