The Creative Bootcamp will focus on new and early stage creative start-ups with capacity for future growth and scalability. It will cover product design, jewellery design, ceramic design and experience design; graphic and communication design; textile design; service design; digital design and social innovation using creative processes. It will target creative graduates and those with early stage start ups that need to take the next step up towards being a scalable business.
Creative Boot Camp is a 5-day programme run over 8 weeks. The emphasis is on experiential learning, real world industry contacts and building networks. It will be run by Central Saint Martins Innovation which has a track record in developing enterprise programmes that build on the very particular experiential teaching and learning approach which is the norm in art and design education.
The Creative Boot Camp builds on CSM’s extensive experience of running support programmes that reflect the real journey that creative graduates make into self employment and business start-ups. It builds the knowledge, toolkits and skills that are most commonly needed to ensure a successful foundation for a creative business.
The emphasis is on experiential learning, real world industry contacts and making networks
The course will involve sector specific trainers that have delivered programmes for CSM innovation in the past, and industry guides who have set up successful businesses in the creative sector in the last 3 – 5 years. These guides are still close enough to the graduates to make their success seem attainable. Specific industry speakers will also be part of the programme and both will help participants to create a real world knowledge.
