Creative Kitchen are taking over Yorkshire House for some good old fashioned competitive fun with our first ever CALM Pong.
On 14th October, we’ll be rallying the region’s digital and creative community to come together and assemble their best teams. The teams will go head to head and compete in the ultimate beer pong tournament. There will be a chance to win some amazing prizes – including four office drones for the winning team (kindly donated by JUXDIT)!
All semi-finalist teams will also receive a beer pong table.
The evening will be in support of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), who dedicate their work to preventing male suicide, the biggest killer of men aged 25-40 in the UK. Not only is this a huge issue for men, but also for women, particularly family and friends who are bereaved by suicide. We want to tackle the issue head on and let both men and women know that it’s okay to talk about their mental health. 41% of men in the UK who have contemplated suicide felt that they couldn’t talk about their feelings. We want to bring together a network of support and show that there’s no shame in talking.
Overall, the evening is about having fun – and enjoying some ‘healthy’ competition – whilst highlighting and supporting a cause that is close to our hearts. We’ll be celebrating the importance of collaboration and friendship – showing that things can get better when you have the right support.
Each team is limited to a maximum of four members. There will also be a minimum £25 entry fee donation per team, proceeds of which will be donated to CALM. If you work for a larger company, ask your boss if you can afford to dig a little deeper and donate a bit more!
As part of this event we have to thank our venue hosts and sponsors Millfield Estates for allowing us to take over Yorkshire House to support CALM.
Please note: attendee registration details will be shared with event partners and CALM
