Creative making: Envelope bookbinding

In this full-day session, bookbinder Cass Barron will demonstrate how to make a set of envelope pages and stitch them together to make your own envelope book.

Once created, Cass will teach you how to add a front and back cover before using collage to give each envelope its own character.

Envelope books are ideal for storing special correspondence, postcards and other paper treasures.

Full video instructions will also be provided after the workshop should you want to continue working on your book at home.

All materials and teas and coffees provided.

About the workshop leader

Cass Barron is an artist and educator with a background in Fine Art Sculpture. She specialises in bookbinding and is particularly inspired by working with remnant materials and transforming pre-loved and recycled materials into unique and usable books.
