About this event
This course is a chance to explore Mig welding and the basics of metal fabrication - great for beginners or those wanting a refresher.
Even without previous metal working experience you will get to make an individually designed candlestick in mild steel with the expert guidance of our tutor. A thing to take home and be proud of.
You will learn; Mig welding, cutting, drilling, rolling, sanding, grinding and finishing.
Included in the course is our full metal workshop induction which qualifies you to come back and book bench spaces in the future.
Rachael Barker teaches our metal fabrication courses. She studied fine art sculpture at Wimbledon College of Art. Rachael worked as a 3D workshop and Metal technician at Norwich School of Art and Manchester School of Art. She then spent a few years in the wilderness travelling and working in fabrication workshops in The States and New Zealand. Recently she worked as a non-ferrous technician in the workshops of Cox London, and is now the Metalwork Technician at Blackhorse Workshop.
