Creative mindfulness in watercolour with Lea Williams and Bec Yoxall. Some...
Sat 24 June 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
Come and join me and the very talented artist LEA WILLIAMS for a totally relaxed day of painting with watercolour
CREATIVE MINDFULNESS IN WATERCOLOUR
We all need more time to relax, to get away from everyday life and painting is the perfect solution. We have been guided to create this as a response to the comments and feedback from our wonderful students. We find that most students are gaining many more additional benefits from creating than they first imagined. Relaxation comes out on top.
We began to realise we could harness this potential and offer a more in depth focus on painting for mindfulness and watercolour is the ideal medium
The very essence of watercolour, colour suspended in water, flowing free, oozing over the crisp white paper is in itself a beautiful and mesmerising thing.
Many watercolourist might argue that using the medium is far from relaxing, with its uncontrollable nature, its ability to form edges where you want softness and puddles where you want details.......BUT
This workshop is different!
This is about EMBRACING those wonderful watercolour interactions and falling in love with it’s magical qualities.
This fantastic workshop provides you with the tutoring from 2 professional practicing artists for the price of 1!!!
Allow both artists to guide you in the exploration of a variety of techniques that will build up layers of exciting watercolour effects based on pure flow of colour.
We will delve into the emotions of colour, the gentle flow of brushstroke, examine the chinese painting process and our personal response to the process.
These pieces may become finished artworks in their own right or be used as a wonderful base for producing further imagery/drawing/painting on top.
The day will include step by step demonstrations of the painting techniques by both artists providing a diverse and rich extensive knowledge. And of course lots of one to one tuition to help you develop your own style and vision.
THIS IS A PERFECT WORKSHOP FOR A COMPLETE BEGINNER AS WELL AS THOSE WISHING TO DEVELOP A MORE FREE EXPERIMENTAL PAINTING STYLE
