About this event

Our afternoon workshop with Julie from Pip Cottage will be making leaf cordage and then using this with iris leaves to make a small simple mat. Historically, ropes were made by twisting and braiding lengths of plant fibre and in this session we will be using daffodils to make cordage. Suitable for children 6-7 years and above working with an adult. We also have additional natural crafts for younger children to do, all around your own table. We ask that all children are supervised by an adult at all times. This workshop is also suitable for groups of adults too.

Each family will be provided with their materials and guidance from a safe distance for all crafts. This is an outdoor event so please come dressed for the weather conditions on the day. Do bring something to sit on e.g. picnic rug if you wish to sit on the ground and not around a table. The event will take place in an outdoor sheltered location on the reserve. Supervision of children is required at all times. Toilet facilities are available. Booking is essential.
