Creative Networks presents
'Jamal Edwards - In Conversation’
Thursday, December 5th, 6pm
at Leeds College of Art
Leeds College of Art would like to invite you to the next Creative Networks event, an evening with one of the most exciting creative media entrepreneurs in Britain; ‘Jamal Edwards – In Conversation’.
This will be an inspiration for anyone thinking of starting a business, already in business or wanting to know more about the world of creative media. Jamal will discuss his creative journey, experiences, mistakes, successes and outline advice he has picked up along the way in the form of a Q & A session with one of his SB.TV colleagues.
While Jamal would describe himself as the average 22 year old, few others would. One of the new faces of UK entrepreneurialism, over the last five years Jamal has grown his youth broadcasting channel, SB.TV, from the inner confines of his west London estate into an internationally renowned brand built on three core services: broadcasting, production and editorial.
Jamal Edwards is responsible for documenting the rise of a new breed of previously ignored video stars and helping launch the careers of Jessie J, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Ed Sheeran.
Notching up over 190 million YouTube views on the official SB.TV channel since 2006, it’s no wonder he’s now fronting his own Google Chrome advert alongside Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber or that SB.TV has a prime time fly-on-the-wall documentary series now airing on T4.
Jamal will be signing copies of his new book ‘Self Belief: The Vision’, the book sees Jamal setting his readers various challenges, all designed to improve their self belief and help them make their dreams a reality. There will be copies available to purchase for £7.99.
We would like you to join us from 6pm at Blenheim Walk on Thursday December 5th, for drinks - prior to the talk there will be a range of goods on sale from the local independent art and design bookstore Colours May Vary and the Village Bookstore.
Please note that the £5 fee is refundable if you attend the event. The amount will be transferred back into your account the day after the event.
