Creative New Year Weekend Retreat in Cornwall
Give the gift of an experience that will inspire for a lifetime. Get 2017 going with a wonderful positive creative start.
Treat your mother, daughter, niece, sister, auntie, godmother or best friend to a creative and restful weekend of comfort and retreat by the sea
Or be brave! Treat yourself to a fun companionable holiday and meet new creative friends.
There will be an option to attend an easy fail-safe workshop, where you can create a magical textile art New Year Dreambook Journal to take away with you and keep as a souvenir.
The textile workshop is ideal for both beginners and improvers, and is included in the ticket price. The retreat will be held in a beautiful heritage village in Cornwall, with onsite accommodation. The venue has sea views, and is a short walk away from a small village with cafe, a pub, and the beach. Seals have been regularly spotted in this area.
All materials and tution for the class are included in the booking cost. Class will run in the mid-morning until lunchtime on Sunday, leaving you with free time to carry on creating, enjoy exploring the beautiful coastal area or to relax and rest. The dreambook class is NOT compulsory, so you can just enjoy a coastal holiday if you don't feel like taking part. All activities will be optional-the choice is yours ( but it will be hard to resist, once you see how easy it is, and you'll be surprised at what you can create, as Jo will be giving away some hard-won textile art secrets and short cuts in this unique workshop).
This fun and informal creative weekend will give you something to look forward to, beating those January blues and welcoming in a creative start to 2017. It's a chance to meet up with other like-minded creative women, spend quality time with your family and best friends, or have some quality time by yourself. There will be lots of chances to recharge, play, eat cake and chat, or walk on the cliffs, far away from the pressures of everyday responsibilities.
The ticket price includes a pampering afternoon Cornish Cream Tea on arrival and a delicious vegetarian welcome supper on the Saturday evening. Self catering for the rest of the stay. Large kitchen and all equipment provided at the venue; shops and cafes are very close by.
The venue is a bright and very cosy recently refurbished set of Cornish heritage cottages, with underfloor heating on the first floor, central heating in bedrooms and open plan lounge on the edge of the sea. It's in the middle of a peaceful Cornish fishing village and is in shared accommodation (maximum 6 beds to each room). Some smaller rooms are available ( sleeping 2 or 3) for an extra £30 per person, on a first come first served basis.
I am happy to answer email enquiries, and please check the FAQ page for more detailed information.
Beautifully designed ticket invitation cards are available, if you wish to purchase the retreat as a gift experience for someone special. Please indicate at booking if you would like this option.
