Description

Welcome back to the Creative Pathways talks.

Have your chance to hear from local artists featured in the first London Borough of Culture's 2019 Programme. Hear about their own unique journeys, gain advice on flourishing in the Arts and network with others.

Do you have questions about creating a name for yourself or networking in the arts?

Our fourth Creative Pathways talk will explore different aspects of the film industry. Our Young Producers will be in conversation with a spectrum of industry experts including:

We Are Parable an events company based in Leytonstone that specialise in film exhibition and was founded by husband and wife team Anthony and Teanne Andrews. Since forming in 2013, they have created memorable, experiential events for Black films, working with organisations such as the British Film Institute, Disney, StudioCanal, and have worked with the likes of Idris Elba and Spike Lee.

With a firm focus on participation which enable different audiences to engage with cinematic experiences, We Are Parable believe in the power of events. We Are Parable are currently producing on two events as part of Leytonstone Loves Film Festival taking place 27 -29 September 2019.

Walk With... is an entertainment production company that works in filming, editing and script writing founded by Jamal Walker in 2018. Jamal co-ordinates a collective of young film and media professionals based across Waltham Forest and provides opportunities to get work in the film industry.

The event will be held at Waltham Forest’s new creative space, One Hoe Street, and hosted by the William Morris Gallery’s Young Producers.

Arrive from 6.30pm for an informal networking session (light refreshments provided), talk starts at 7pm sharp followed by a Q&A.

This event is aimed at those interested in starting a carrer the film industry and for those who want to meet likeminded people in sector.
