About this event

Step into a creative pause.
Creative Presence is a gentle, guided art and mindfulness session designed to help you reconnect with yourself, regulate your nervous system, and explore your inner world through intuitive creative practices.

Each session blends:
✨ Mindful grounding and breathwork
🎨 Creative exploration (intuitive art-making, journaling, or simple mark-making)
🤝 Reflective sharing in a supportive, non-judgemental space (optional)
🧘‍♀️ A closing practice to integrate and restore

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, creatively blocked, or simply seeking a space to reflect and reset — this session offers a warm invitation to come as you are, notice and creatively express what’s present, and leave feeling more grounded, connected, resourced, or with new insights.

No need for art skills — this is a space for presence, not perfection. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are.

Why it works: Science-backed benefits of mindful art-making

· Mindfulness practices are proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and rumination by increasing present-moment awareness and activating the parasympathetic nervous system — the body’s “rest and digest” mode.

· Creative expression, even in simple forms like drawing or collage, supports emotional regulation, enhances mood, and helps externalise internal experiences in a safe, non-verbal way.

· Combining the two boosts self-awareness and promotes psychological flexibility — allowing us to reframe thoughts, access inner resources, and build resilience.

· Studies show that engaging in creative interventions with mindful attention can lower cortisol levels and alleviate stress-related symptoms, contributing to relaxation and emotional wellbeing (Kaimal, Ray & Muniz, 2016; Stuckey & Nobel, 2010).

Facilitator:

Buse Yıldırım: With a degree in film and a background in fine arts, I have always blended creativity into my career, transitioning from media roles to talent management. My passion for wellbeing inspired me to earn a permaculture design certificate and train as a yoga teacher. In 2019, I founded a digital marketing firm in London and completed internationally accredited trainings in coaching, mindfulness, and compassion. Currently, I work as a wellbeing officer at a charity, alongside my work with Artinfusion. I fuse my background in nature, mindfulness, compassion, and art to enhance wellbeing for individuals and communities alike.
