Event description
This 2 day workshop will cover multiple printmaking techniques.

About this event

A 2 day class from 11am until 4pm.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate levels of experience.

Those who would like to use printmaking techniques to create artworks.

The first day will be used to make a number of plates in collagraph, carborundum and dry-point. The second day will be used printing those plates in different combinations to achieve a variety of results. Experimenting with colour and layering.

Please bring source materials to work from i.e. a drawing or photograph.

Lunch and refreshments included.

Basic Materials included and more expensive papers available to purchase.

Arrive 15 minutes before the start of class if possible.

The studio is close to Worcester Foregate Street Train Station.

Organiser of Creative Printmaking Introduction

Worcester Drawing School is a new facility in Worcester provided by Jain McKay.

Jain McKay is a full time artist, with an MA in Fine Art Contemporary Practice from Falmouth University. She is a painter and printmaker with over 20 years experience in running arts workshops.

The new premises where secured on the 1st of August 2021 and new classes are now being developed.

Please follow this organiser profile to keep up to date with classes as they are organised.

As the school develops we will be adding external teachers doing one off sessions, weekend long classes and multiple session options.
