What will the event cover?

Creative Responses to Dementia is an event which celebrates creativity and its relationship to dementia through a series of inspiring talks, practical workshops, and theological reflection. There will be opportunity to share the challenges and joys of supporting those who live with dementia and their carers.

The day will include:

Since 2012 Livability’s  Dementia-Friendly Churches Programme has been engaging church communities in considering practical responses to dementia, looking at worship, theology, community partnering and encouraging participation.

Together Middlesbrough & Cleveland is the local expression of the Church Urban Fund in the Diocese of York.  The project is locally managed with representatives from a variety of church traditions, bringing their expertise and experience, to shape our work to meet locally identified priorities which includes supporting churches to become Dementia Friendly. They do this alongside Faithfully Ageing Better, a project within Middlesbrough MIND’s Ageing Better initiative
