About this event

Other

A live online grief workshop for children aged 12 and under (accompanied by a parent/carer), hosted by bereavement specialists from Winston’s Wish. In our new Creative Storytime Workshop, we will be reading a story and doing a creative activity that is linked to grief and memories of the person who has died.

Our trained bereavement specialists will model how books can be used as a springboard to help children to express their grief and discuss the themes of the workshop. We hope to inspire a conversation between children and parents and help them safely express and navigate difficult feelings through stories, play and art.

Held online via Zoom, this is a safe space for grieving children and their parents/carers. All cameras and microphones will be off, except for the bereavement specialists, who will also encourage questions and reflections through the chat.

If you can, please bring pens, paper and playdoh (if possible) to the workshop so you and your child can take part in the creative activity.
