You will be aware that Bristol goes to the polls in May for the next Mayor Election with a term running to 2020.
A group of interested parties have come together to draft a “Creative & Technology Sector Manifesto” to deliver to mayoral candidates at a Q&A / husting being organised by TechSpark on 15th April. (That event will be invitation only and invites come out next week.)
This will not be a detailed strategy document, or even a perfect, unanimously consensual document – but we think the time is right to make a provocation to the city’s civic leadership that gives him or her the knowledge to be able to properly support our industry during their term.
We are in the process of drafting this 2-pager and will circulate in advance, and hereby invite you to this consultation event, to allow us to take a broader input.
We hope that you will also be minded to add your support – in terms of your logo – as endorsement, to give this credibility.
If you can’t attend the event, we encourage electronic input and comment.
We hope to find the right balance of democracy and pragmatism to meet a tight timescale!
