Event description

Description

A scuba diving company faces bankruptcy because sharks have infested the area. Solution? Open the world's first extreme diving school.

Artist and author Rod Judkins will lead this session on how creativity and art practice can aid innovation and productivity and help businesses stay ahead of the game. A practical introduction to how to think outside the box to build and maintain a healthy, vibrant and effective business.

This session will be held at Ealing Works, a co-working space opening in summer 2017. After the talk, the architects will lead a tour of the building (currently an empty office building) and will be on hand to answer questions about the project.

About the speaker: Rod Judkins is an accomplished lecturer at Central St Martin's, one of the world's pre-eminent art schools whose alumni - ranging from artists like Lucien Freud, and Antony Gormley through to the designers Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen - have helped shape our culture. Judkins has lectured on the subject of creativity at universities and to businesses around the world. He blogs at Psychology Today, and also acts as a consultant to numerous private companies. Trained at The Royal College of Art, he has exhibited at galleries including Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Academy. He’s published several books, including The Art of Creative Thinking and Ideas Are Your Only Currency.

This event is presented by Ealing Works in association with Begin Anywhere. Supported by Ealing Council, the Mayor of London and Catalyst Housing.
