About this event

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners aged 14+ and will cover the basics of how to use visible mending techniques to repair your clothes and express your personality. We want you to go away feeling proud to repair!

This will be taught in a small group - with only 8 spaces available, be quick to book your ticket.

All materials will be provided, as will refreshments. Please contact us if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies.

Sara and Sarah run slow fashion business Make A Mends in Redruth, and are passionate about visible mending! Proud to use their craft to show the world what they care about, as well as extending the life of their clothes. Find out more by following them on Instagram @make_a_mends

The venue is our Truro Furniture shop and the workshop will take place on the ground floor. Free parking is available on site and we encourage you to ride share where possible.

If you have any questions, please email communications@cornwallhospice.co.uk.

Cornwall Hospice Care is the charity that encompasses the only two adult hospices in Cornwall - St. Julia's in Hayle and Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell. As a charity we aim to deliver specialist care to those with life limiting illnesses in our hospices and out in the Cornish community. We also offer practical and emotional support to patients, their family and their carers.

The charity has less than 20% funding from the NHS, this means that the majority of our care and everything we do is funded by people like you signing up to our events and helping us raise money to keep our hospices running. It’s thanks to you, that we continue to make every day matter.
