Creative Walk, Pattern & Colour Workshop
Join Alison for a walk in and around the village of Nunburnholme and explore the beauty of nature through a creative walk. Record what you see by drawing or photography and then head back to the studio for the pattern and colour part of the workshop. Let your imagination run wild as we take inspiration from the surroundings to create unique patterns and designs from what we've seen. This hands-on experience is perfect for anyone looking to unleash their creativity and learn new skills. Alison has over 20 years experience of distilling what she sees in to designs and patterns and the workshop will give you an insight in to how she creates and layers up elements seen or sketched to create pattern designs. Colour is a very important part of all Alison's work; let her guide you in pairing colours, choosing a colour palette and generally having fun with colour!
The workshop will involve:
· Introduction to how Alison uses pattern and colour and what we'll be looking for
· Approx 30 min walk in the village with sketchbook (provided) and phone/camera
· Back to the studio to look at and discuss what we saw and how this can manifests in to a pattern
· Playful pattern creating. No pressure - use the materials to try creating something inspired by what you've seen and your findings. You'll take away a sketchbook of playful patterns.
All material included and no experience needed.
A nice chatty workshop including hot drink and cake after the walk. Approx 3.5 hrs.
