If you are a person with a learning disability: We want to work with you to help you understand more about what happens when someone dies, and support you to think about what your wishes are for your own death. We will make this webinar as relaxing and fun as possible, and include games and easy read resources.
By coming together with friends, we hope to make the topic of death and dying as comfortable as possible and will ensure you are supported at all times.
If you are supporting someone with a learning disability: We will give you tips and advice for engaging with the people you support, share best practice from our workshops and one-to-one sessions, and show you how to have discussions in a person-centred, creative, MacIntyre way. We will also provide links to resources to help you.
We know death and dying is a sensitive subject, and we will be constantly monitoring to check that everyone on the webinar is ok, and offer breakout rooms for 1-1 support as needed.
Join us just to observe and/or participate! You will be free to leave/re-join if you need to. Everyone is welcome.
This is a members only webinar. It is open to individual members and people who are part of organisations who are members. You can join as a member for as little as £12 a year, find out more here
