Event description

Description

Delve into the museum and use its treasures as a springboard into your own creativity.

A playful and immersive day designed for 13 - 18 year olds who take their writing seriously, you will be learning how to use objects to narrate, paintings to provoke, and spaces to inspire.

With hands-on exercises that you can apply to your own writing projects, and opportunities to share your writing, you will leave the museum fired up and kitted out with tools to develop your ideas.

Poets and prose writers, beginners and those with more experience are all welcome. Places are strictly limited, so early booking essential. Bring your curiosity, imagination, and a packed lunch.

Claire Collison is a published novelist, prize winning poet, and experienced writing facilitator with a passion for writing in place. Currently artist in residence at the Women's Art Library, Claire has been running Writing the City for over a decade, and was the first Max Reinhardt Literacy Fellow at Kettle's Yard, Cambridge. She has recently been shortlisted in the Resurgence Prize for eco-poetry and The Hippocrates Prize for poetry and medicine. writingbloomsbury.wordpress.com.
