The World of Imagination – Other sorts of writing and specific ideas – WEEK 3
Enrich your imaginative life and see your dreams materialise before your eyes
Come and join writer Alice Maddicott, www.alicemaddicott.com, for a three-week school of the imagination. Come and explore a world of stories, poetry, music and writing, imaginary worlds, animals, adventure, invention, history and mystery. Create your own writing, travel to a far off imaginary lands, invent a newspaper… the opportunities are limitless. In these themed workshops all aspects of creative writing and how it can be a real pleasure will be explored.
The course is built of nine stand-alone workshops that work also in groups of three for each week and as a three-week course. Children are welcome to sign up for just one, but it is encouraged to come to as many as possible to make friends and build a creative bond.
Benefits to children
Creative writing encourages children to use their imagination and to look at life a little differently. By immersion in different worlds children can channel their emotions, nurture a sense of identity, build self-confidence and develop empathy towards others.
