Creative Writing Workshops London (CWWL) was established in 2017 by prize-winning novelist, Diane Chandler, and Stephanie Zia, novelist and publisher at Blackbird Books. Our workshop trademarks are:

Small groups: Max 6, with 2 experienced novelists & teachers as tutors.

Interactive - a mixture of lectures on writing, discussion and writing exercises. Join in or sit and listen. You never have to speak, or read out, if you don't want to.

Inspirational - suitable for beginners and for any writer who would like a creative boost.

Stand-alone - try a class and, if you enjoy it, you may want to come back for another workshop on a different writing theme!

Homework - An optional homework writing task is set. You have 2 weeks to complete your piece of writing and email in for written feedback.

We will also be continuing to run our four workshops for beginners - on Character, Plot and Dialogue

Mini-lecture on the importance of setting and how to go about creating setting which evokes mood and emotion

Two fun exercises on setting.
