Facilitator: Sade is an award winning writer who has written for radio, theatre and film. She is primarily known for her debut award winning novel Imagine This, which won the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize. As a filmmaker, she has written, produced and directed several short films. Her last live action short film, A Mother’s Journey won the Best Script at the prestigious House of Commons, Parliamentary film competition, Film The House. The adapted version of her novel Imagine This, also won the British Urban Film Festival Award for Best Script. Sade’s short films have played at various festivals around the world and her award-winning novel is taught in classrooms from Lagos to London, and across North America.
