Creative Writing Workshop
Event Information
About this Event
We bring you a rendition of our 'Writing to Process Experience!' Our last course was a massive success, so we thought we would open it up to ALL members of our community.
For one evening only, we bring you a creative writing workshop that will introduce you to the creative process and how to turn ideas and experiences into poems, short stories, monologues and jokes in a safe, supportive and judgement free environment.
We are a sex worker led company, so please be aware that these sessions will be sex positive and no hate speech will be tolerated.
You do not need to be a sex worker to attend.
Tickets are FREE to ticketholders for $exquisite live. All you need to do is RVSP by emailing us at sexquisite.events@gmail.com. We will be emailing all ticket holders the link for this workshop!
Otherwise, tickets are Pay-What-You-Can. Accepting donations from £1 - 100.
Facilitated by Co-Artistic Directors, Maedb Joy and Carmen Ali
Maedb Joy is a multi-disciplinary artist and specialises in poetry, theatre, writing and facilitation. She is the founder and Co-Artistic Director of Sexquisite Events and also 1/3 of the all female identifying poetry collective Womxn of Words. Maedb is passionate about access to the arts, and uses her work as a platform to talk about issues that impact working class and marginalised communities.
Carmen Ali aka April Fiasco is a multi-disciplined performer and co-artistic director of Sexquisite. She is also a co-organiser at Cybertease - a virtual strip club set up in lockdown by a group of unionised sex workers. She regularly performs Burlesque and stand-up comedy, and is our resident host for our live shows.

More about $exquisite
We are a celebratory, inclusive, artistic safe space for sex workers and allies. Founded at the beginning of 2019, we exist between the realms of a political-performance-party and aim to bring the artist and audience closer through creative expression. At Sexquisite we believe in art as a force for change and do this by building up members of our community and providing a platform for sex worker artists to make, create and share work! We host events, creative writing workshops, dance classes and more. For further information, check out our website: https://www.sexquisiteevents.com
