Creative Writing Workshop : Writing Workout - back to back exercises Hosted by Creative Writing Workshops London (CWWL)
About this event
Creative Writing Workshops London (CWWL) was established in 2017 by prize-winning novelist, Diane Chandler, and Stephanie Zia, novelist and publisher at Blackbird Books. Together we have hosted oodles of half-day kitchen-table workshops in West London and since lockdown we have been online with our new, fun, one-hour Zoom workshops.
Our workshop trademarks are:
Interactive - a mixture of lectures, discussion and writing exercises. Join in or sit and listen. You never have to speak, or read out, if you don't want to.
Inspirational - suitable for beginners and for any writer who would like a creative boost.
Informal - a cosy safe and above all, kind space where writers of all levels may feel confident and relax into the fun. Laughter generally guaranteed.
Stand-alone - try a class and, if you enjoy it, you may want to come back for more!
Our next workshop (open to all) will be one of our popular Writing Workouts:
Date: Tuesday 8th February, 6-7pmGMT
Theme: Three Back-to Back Exercises (with group feedback if desired)
Introductions
Top writing tip of the week
Three fun 10-15 minute back-to-back exercises
The chance to read out one exercise each at the end :
Choose one exercise to share with the group for quick feedback if desired (positive feedback only, given the speed / unpolished nature of the exercises)
- Optional - choose one exercise to work up later for homework and brief feedback from either Diane or Stephanie.
- No pressure to share...
