About this event

'Creativity, Compassion and Courage: The Art of Workshop Facilitation' is a practical and inspiring introduction to the craft of facilitation.

Facilitators are more than teachers or presenters — they are guides who create spaces where people feel safe, engaged, and ready to explore. A well held space coupled with a clear plan leaves participants feeling connected to themselves and each other, and inspired to make change in their lives. Although all groups of people are unique, there are fundamental skills and practices which will make an impactful session possible, whoever you are working with. Whether you’re leading a classroom, a community group, or a corporate team, great facilitation is an art that combines creativity, compassion and courage.

In this interactive 90-minute workshop you will:

  • Learn the core principles of facilitation that make workshops effective and engaging.
  • Explore how to utilise every participant's innate creativity to encourage participation
  • Practice simple tools to help you lead the space with courage by responding to challenging moments with confidence and clarity
  • Gain insight into how to bring self-compassion into your work, so you can regulate your own emotions before, during and after a session.

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Artists, educators, youth workers, and community leaders who want to start or strengthen their facilitation practice.
  • Professionals who run groups, meetings, or workshops and want to make them more impactful.
  • Anyone curious about how to lead spaces where people can connect, learn, and grow together.

You’ll leave this session with renewed confidence in your ability to hold space, and feeling ready to create experiences for your participants that will leave a lasting impact.
