A half-day event for teachers and arts and culture practitioners. For more information about SNAP please go to www.snapsheffield.co.uk
Hosted by SNAP (Sheffield Network of Arts and Cultural Providers for Children and Young People) in partnership with the Teaching Schools Alliance and Museums Sheffield.
To develop a network of culture and arts practitioners and teachers in schools
To try out some specially selected ‘quick-win’ culture and arts activities which can be taken straight back into any classroom.
To have a say in the development of wider culture and arts education initiatives and how these will benefit your school.
We would like to invite you to attend half-day CPD and sharing session on Thursday 17 November 12:30 – 5:30 at The Millenium Galleries hosted by the Sheffield Schools Culture Network and SNAP (Sheffield Network of Arts and Culture Providers for Children and Young People).
We are keen to work with a small number of teachers and arts and culture practitioners who want to share good practice, learn new skills and plan for the future. There will be an opportunity to be part of the early stages of the Local Culture Education Partnership, a new city-wide strategic body for arts andculture education.
The agenda for the day is:
12:30 - Arrival and lunch
1:30 – 1:45 - Introduction – Joan Spencer, Head of Music High Storrs School and Lead for the Schools Culture Network
13:45 – 14:45 - ‘Speed dating’ - Schools and culture colleagues connect in pairs to share good practice.
