About this Event

This is a free event for young people interested in applying for Create Jobs’s Creativity Works: Festival Makers programme.

Create Jobs run informal sessions where people who are interested in the programme can come to their offices in east London, learn a bit more about the programme and seek some help and support with their application.

About Creativity Works: Festival Makers

Creativity Works Festival Makers is a six-week immersive introduction to the world of event production and with a focus on festivals and live events for 25 aspiring young creatives.

This specially tailored programme has been co-designed with leading industry experts, Block9 offering course participants a combination of real-world insight and awareness on festival designing, planning, programming, artist liason and set design skills as well as the chance to respond to a live brief.

The programme:

Participants will develop their knowledge and skills in what goes into event production including, festival desining, event programming, how to market your live events and an insight into set designing, artist liason + more

You will attend workshops and masterclasses led by industry experts from Block9, Punchdrunk, plus independent event managers who are leading on creating amazing live experiences. You will also receive continued employabiluty support during CV and cover letter surgeries, get help accessing more opportunities and knowing where the jobs are, plus an opportunity to apply for several roles working at this years Glastonbury Festival with Block9.

Creativity works is a free programme for young londoners aged 18 - 24 from any London borough, who are not in full-time emplyment/education. The programmes will provide participants with the most relevant up-to date training to kick start their careers within the creative industry.
