Description

Do you want to have an impact by helping Chatterbox to offer online and in-person language tutoring delivered by trained refugees tutors?

Join us on Thursday 4th of May for a MakeSense workshop to improve https://wearechatterbox.org/ user experience!

Chatterbox is on a mission to highlight the significant untapped potential residing in the refugee community. There are over 117,000 people with refugee status living in the UK. Despite having above average levels of education and training, refugees in our society are much more likely to be unemployed and in poverty. Meanwhile, the UK is suffering from a deficit in language skills that costs the economy an estimated £48 billion in missed trading opportunities.

Chatterbox provides accessible, stimulating employment and training for refugees from academic, professional, and industrial backgrounds in the language services sector. They support the people they work with onto a pathway towards skilled employment by helping them rebuild their confidence, networks, and local work experience. In doing this, they widen access to skilled work in disadvantaged communities and support the social and economic integration of refugees into our society.

Chatterbox's website already attracts many visitors, our challenge will be to design an engaging experience user for the individuals looking for language tutoring. You can expect energizing and collaborative games!

You can learn more about Chatterbox on https://wearechatterbox.org/.
