This guided experience offers a unique opportunity to witness the forest’s nocturnal wildlife as it stirs to life.
As twilight deepens, we’ll look and listen for elusive creatures such as deer, bats, and night-time birds like the Tawny Owl. Whilst these mysterious birds can be hard to spot, you’ll learn how to identify their distinctive calls and uncover the secrets of their twilight world.
Using bat detectors, you'll also learn to locate and identify different bat species by their distinctive echolocation calls, opening a window into a hidden nocturnal realm.
To enrich your experience, we’ll use sound recordings, field guides and photographs to help you recognize animal calls and better understand the habits and habitats of these fascinating forest dwellers.
Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious, this walk promises a magical glimpse into the New Forest’s twilight life.
