Crescent Online: Creative Stamp-Making & Zine Workshop
Event Information
About this Event
A digital art workshop in response to the current Flourish printmaking exhibition (3/10/20-31/01/21)at Woodend Scarborough, led by Scarborough based artist Joel Hague.
At Crescent Arts we are exploring new ways to get art and creative workshops to you and giving local artists the opportunity to test new ideas. During the workshop you will explore examples of zine culture, before making your own stamps using household items such as erasers and foam and creating your own zines from your creations. There will also be the chance to explore other techniques such as cut and paste collage and simple bookbinding techniques.
Attendees are encouraged to bring and show their own previous work, zines, prints or anything you feel is of importance, this will help inspire some ideas of what they’d like to focus and hone in on with their zines.
For this workshop you will need:
-Assortment of papers (Blank, Collage, Magazine Clippings etc) preferably in A4/A3 sizes
-Scissors
-Glue sticks OR PVA glue
-Pencils/Pens/Drawing tools
-Variety of rubber stamps/erasers for using as a carving block or basic craft foam sheets
-Scalpels/ craft knife
