Criminal Justice Forum - Problem Solving on Homelessness

Registration, refreshments and networking available from 9.30am ready for a prompt 9.45am start.

Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill said: “Upon re-election, I pledged to set up a Problem Solving Forum. This commitment is about innovation. Dorset requires a multi-agency approach in order to scope out new ideas, assess problems from every angle and identify sustainable solutions.

“The first Problem Solving Forum, in partnership with the CVS’s Criminal Justice Forum, will consider what can be done to address homelessness. Statutory agencies already deliver a range of services in relation to this issue, but the voluntary sector heavily contributes to making Dorset a safer place and it is right that we utilise this valuable experience in order to enforce the services on offer.

“I am making funding available for proposals borne out of the Problem Solving Forum, but this will only be accessible where ideas meet strict criteria and are supported by thorough business cases that outline how new approaches will make a real difference to crime and community safety in Dorset. I warmly invite you to participate on 24th October 2017.”
