Event description
How we can break cycles of violence and address underlying issues.

About this event

The workshop will have a hybrid format, which will allow you to join online (MS Teams) or attend in person. We would however encourage a physical presence at the workshop as it is intended to be engaging.

An important part of living our faith, as directed in Holy Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, is taking action to support vulnerable people, families and communities.

West Yorkshire Police and Caritas Leeds invites you to join this special series of workshops, which will equip you with the skills and confidence to respond to some of the major social challenges that affect the life chances of people in our Diocese and contribute to criminal behaviour and exploitation.

The workshops have been developed in close partnership with West Yorkshire Police and are aimed at parents, school staff, deacons, priests and religious parish volunteers, catechists, youth workers, chaplains, safeguarding reps, and any Catholics interested in how we can build safer stronger communities.

Using the ‘See, Judge, Act’ method, and working with experts in Catholic Social Teaching and, the criminal justice system, you will be supported to take positive action in your community, parish or school.

Please can you confirm if you will be attending in person or online (MS Teams link to be sent prior to the event)
