Lata Nobes is a British-Indian theatre director. Her recent work has included directing 12 at the Greenhouse Theatre, a zero-waste production of Henry Roberts’ new play about impending climate disaster (Summer 2021). She was associate director for CRIPtic arts ‘Pit Party’ (Barbican Pit Theatre, Autumn 2021), a compilation showcasing a range of radical new performance art by disabled and neurodivergent creatives. Lata is a creative associate of Lazarus Theatre Company, and is currently assistant director on the RSC’s Henry VI Rebellion and Wars of the Roses.

Lata is interested in gritty, challenging text-based theatre. Her background as a musician means that her productions, and directing style, are centred around the auditory. She is interested in mental health, particularly in the context of war, political turmoil, and social pressures on men.
