Crisis Line Open Meeting
Wed 26 October 2016, 14:00 – 16:00 BST
In August 2016, Bristol Mental Health (BMH) announced the proposed closure of the crisis line from the end of November 2016.
Since the launch of the petition, which to date over 4,400 people have signed (https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/protect-our-crisis-line-in-bristol), there have been several statements issued, the latest of which can be found at this link: http://bimhn.org.uk/news/crisis-line-update/
Some concerned users of the crisis line have expressed anxiety over the potential changes, sharing that they worry they would "lose a valuable service" that has helped them 'throughout the last eighteen months or so', approximately how long the line has been operational.
With at least one in four people experiencing a mental health issue in their lifetime, now is the time for increased and clear mental health support that is easily accessible for all.
To help the voices of users and carers of those using mental health services to be heard, we are hosting an open meeting to give an update on work going on to date and to hear your feedback.
Please ensure you register your free ticket to come along so we can have an idea of numbers attending.
If you have any queries in the meantime then please email email@example.com
We look forward to seeing you there!
