About the speaker

Nicola Upton is a leadership and change consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the charity sector. She’s served as a Director in several national charities and as CEO of two small charities organisation, and has led teams through the pandemic, serious incidents, and the shock of discovering an organisation’s insolvency just days into a new role. Since 2023, Nicola has worked as an independent consultant, offering hands-on support to charities navigating planned change, organisational and people development, and (sometimes very) challenging times. She also volunteers as a moderator for the Small Charity CEOs Facebook group and provides pro bono help to leaders of organisations facing closure.
